Over the last week the LGYC clubhouse and sailing school came down, which we felt was a big milestone for the Lake Geneva Yacht Club, but I have to say Harry Melges IV winning the E scow Blue Chip was the person who really brought the house down.  Six wins out of six races is a rare feat considering the level of competition in Pewaukee this last weekend.  Not only did we have the usual suspects going bow to stern in 20+ winds, the 2013 Americas Cup skipper, Jimmy Spithill grabbed a tiller to compete, taking an eighth.  Harry’s accomplishment was impressive, but taking into account he was followed up by Vincent Porter in second and Brian Porter, 2013 Rolex Yachtsman of the year, taking third, it was unreal.
