On Saturday June 17th at 10:00 am we will be planting 2000 small plants in our Rain Garden. What is a Rain Garden? A rain garden is a planted depression or a hole that allows rainwater runoff from impervious urban areas, like roofs, driveways, walkways, parking lots, and compacted lawn areas, the opportunity to be absorbed.
We have a Rain Garden at the bottom of the driveway. Currently this Garden doesn’t look very good, however with your help, it will be turned into a beautiful perennial garden. The more people who help out, the quicker it gets done. The ground is a sandy mixture and so digging will be effortless. We will keep you well hydrated .. wink wink. There will be a prize for the person who plants the most.
