Bertha Williams Memorial Trophy
Donated in 1961 by the Harvey A. Williams family, the Bertha Williams Memorial Trophy, a silver urn, is awarded to the winner of the first race for points of the season in Class C, and initially was awarded for permanent possession to the skipper who won it three times in five consecutive years. After multiple wins, C. B. “Cuppy” Goes retired the trophy, re-donated it under the original conditions, and then re-donated it again as a perpetual trophy.
