Clarence W. Sills Trophy

In 1930, Clarence W. Sills presented a silver vase to the Class E fleet for the season championship, specifying that it was to become the permanent possession of the person who won it three out of five consecutive years. This happened twice: Ralph N. Isham won the trophy in 1930, 1931, and 1934 for permanent possession, and redonated it under the same conditions; William C. Grunow Jr. won the season championship in 1948, 1950, and 1951, and redonated it as a perpetual trophy in the championship series.
