RACE COMMITTEE- Come out and support our racing program by joining this committee. Within the RC there are many different positions that come with varying degrees of experience.  Our PRO’s manage the races, but we are happy to train anyone to be a PRO Assistant!  You’ll assist with race setup and monitoring, and be on hand to respond to emergencies, capsizes, or stranded boats. It is also front row action for the racing so you might even pick up a bit about racing along the way. Members with or without boats are welcome. TROPHY POLISHING- Trophy polishing is a fun, easy but necessary task.  LGYC has a history of beautiful trophies on display. Help us keep them shiny by joining our polishing parties!

SOCIAL COMMITTEE- Help plan our wonderful club events, create themes, put together table flowers and decor, etc!

SHERIDAN SAILING SOCIETY-  The Sheridan Sailing Society is a group of intermediate members (ages 21-40) at the Lake Geneva Yacht Club that aims to:

– Foster a love for sailing among its members and in the community at large

– Encourage, support and welcome new sailors to the community

– Foster connections among existing and prospective members

– Build a future, rooted in a passion for sailing, for the Lake Geneva Yacht Club

REGATTA VOLUNTEERS- We host many regattas throughout the year and often send out a Sign Up Genius asking for help with anything from setting up tables and chairs under a tent, working the event registration table, greeting sailors, to being on the water as a safety boat or joining the Race Committee. There is something for everyone, and every bit of help is appreciated!
