Bronze Centennial Plaque

In 1974, Lake Geneva Yacht Club unveiled this copper plaque in celebration of its centennial. Designed by Ted Brennan, it features images of a sandbagger (the type of boat that raced on Geneva Lake until 1899) and a 38-foot Class A scow (which has competed at LGYC ever since). For many years the metal plaque was glued to the stone exterior of clubhouse number three and survived every extreme of weather. It was stained and discolored, but in 2015 Larry Larkin restored it to its original luster.
