Lake Geneva Yacht Club Cup

George Brunder of Pine Lake Yacht Club won the Lake Geneva Yacht Club Cup in August 1900 in his  20-foot class “Aderyn.” (The 20-foot designation indicates its measurement rating, later called Class A.)  The race for this trophy was held the day before the start of the Third Annual Inland Lake Yachting Association Championship Regatta, the first Inland to be hosted by Lake Geneva Yacht Club was held on Geneva Lake just before the Third Annual Inland Lake Yachting Association Championship Regatta, which was the first one hosted by Lake Geneva Yacht Club.

In February 2018 Ginger North of Landenberg Pennsylvania, George Brunder’s great-granddaughter, donated his trophy to our club. Not only is it handsome and historic, but it is the only item in our collection from that event. The lake Geneva Yacht Club is sterling silver, eleven inches high, and nine inches wide including the handles.
