Shadyside Cannon Trophy

This brass starting gun was originally used by the judges on the steamer Shadyside, owned by Frank and Silas Button, for races in the 1880s and 1890s. In 1982, it was donated by A.H. Button as a trophy for the J-24 Class to be awarded to the winner of a championship series race. In 2007, it was rededicated as a Sonar Class championship series race trophy.
