In 1998, J. Wendell Sherry donated this trophy, a silver Revere bowl, to the Yacht Club to honor Bob Pegel for his support and dedication to Laser sailing on Geneva Lake. The trophy was awarded annually to the winner of the Mother’s Day Regatta. The Laser fleet started at Lake Geneva Yacht Club in 1994, was featured on the cover of the yearbook that year, and by 1998 and the dedication of this trophy, was 33 boats strong.
